The Matrix says:

You should try a pour-over like the Hario V60, Kalita Wave, or any other variation. A pour-over works the same as a drip machine, except that you have maximal control because you pour the water yourself. You have maximal control over temperature, and how and where the water is added. This is both good and bad, as it requires a bit of skill and a consistent grinder, and it tends to have more variation than some other methods. The upside is high, but this method does require practice, a good grinder, a scale, and good beans.

At this level of effort, you can also get a very high quality coffee by using a premium hand-grinder with an Aeropress or French press.

 

To get truly great coffee, practice and consistency are vital!
